Obituaries

Bessie Bass Taylor, 94, of Lynchburg passed away December 23, 2018 at Lynchburg Health and Rehab. She was the wife of the late Frank Hunter Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was born in Charlotte County, January 21, 1924 a daughter of the late Aubrey Edward Bass and Maude Poindexter Bass. She was a member of Rough Creek Presbyterian Church and a former employee of Burlington Industries. She is survived by one niece, Donna M. Wilson (Mike) of Lynchburg; three great-nephews, David Wilson (Jennifer), Scott Wilson (Sarah) all of Myrtle Beach S.C., Jason Wilson of Bristow; four great-great nieces, Taylor, Madison, Zoey and Keira; one great-great nephew, Griffin. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and E.P. “Jack” Bass; two sisters, Thalia Bass Epperson, and Thelma Bass Maddox. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 inside the church at Rough Creek Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Ed Vogt. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the graveside service in Rough Creek Presbyterian Church.
