Carl Lamar Bradley, 85, of Brookneal was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, November 21, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, of 61 years, Polly Major Bradley.

Carl was born in Hopewell, October 10, 1931, son of the late Atlas Lamar Bradley and Bridie Daniel Bradley. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, was an accomplished cattle and tobacco farmer, and the founder of Rolling Acres Farm. His greatest accomplishment was a lifetime of faithful service to Jesus Christ as a life-long member of Falling River Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Doug Bradley (Annette) of Lynchburg, Bobby Bradley (Copy) of Brookneal; one daughter, Susan Tanner (Ray) of Gladys; five grandchildren, Justin Bradley (Tonya) of Bedford, Jessie Keller (Dustin) of Brookneal, Heath Bradley (Brittany) of Phenix, Rob Bradley of Brookneal and Kyle Bradley of Lynchburg; seven great-grandchildren, Josh, Travis, Abigail and Hanna Keller, Bran, Bryar and Brent Bradley; one sister, Joyce B. Elder of Brookneal.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Falling River Baptist Church by the Rev. Keith Williams with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal and at the residence other times.
