Johnny Mack Brightwell, 70, of Nathalie passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at The Woodview Nursing Home in South Boston. Johnny was born in Campbell County, July 24, 1946 son of the late Tom Pat Brightwell and Rosa Trent Brightwell. He was a retired auto mechanic. He is survived by one daughter, Laurie B. Crews (Harry); one granddaughter, Heather A. Crews all of Halifax; two brothers, Michael Brightwell, Bill Brightwell (Dianne) all of Nathalie; two sisters, Doris Eggleston of Nathalie, Peggy Moore of Evington; he is also survived by Jerry Singleton (Sherri), Carleigh Singleton, and Ross Singleton whom he thought of as his children. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Colby John Crews; two brothers, Jimmy and Pete Brightwell; a sister, Dora Franklin. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Wickliffe Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Mann. The family will receive friends at the residence of Laurie and Harry Crews.
