Elbert Lee Eanes, Jr.

Elbert Lee Eanes, Jr., 74, of Nathalie passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Linda Dawson Eanes.

Mr. Eanes was born in Halifax County, August 26, 1944 a son of the late Elbert Lee Eanes, Sr. and Annie Brooks Eanes. He attended Mulberry Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.

In addition to his wife, he survived by a daughter, Melinda Eanes (Greg McDowell) of Nathalie; three
sons, David Eanes of Nathalie, Elbert Eanes III (Patricia) of Clover, Timothy Eanes (Sissy) of Danville; six grandchildren, Chanze, Conner, Elizabeth, Brittney, Daniel and Jeremy; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Bronx; four sisters, Beulah Barbour, Christine Mitchell, Lucy Williams and Cora Reeves.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Eanes; and a sister, Janie Gibson.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at Mulberry Baptist Church by the Rev. Mike McDowell.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at his residence other times.
