Franklin Delano “Crow” McKinney, 89, of Halifax passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at home. He was the husband of the late Virginia Jennings McKinney. Mr. McKinney was born in Halifax County, November 1, 1934, a son of the late Phil Henry McKinney and Netty Cook McKinney. He attended Centerville Baptist Church. He is survived by five sons, B. Keith McKinney (Vanessa) of Halifax, Henry Eric McKinney of Nashville, N.C., Johnny Ray McKinney (Donna), Eddie Lee McKinney (Rita), and Donnie McKinney all of Halifax; two daughters, Rose Marie Stoner (Sean) of Halifax, Virginia Christine Privitte (Willie) of South Boston; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brother, and four sisters. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel.
