Gloria Wright Roach, 75, of Brookneal passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at home. She was the wife of the late William Henry Roach. Gloria was born in South Boston, July 6, 1945, a daughter of the late Josh Emerson Wright and Mattie Baker Jones Wright. She was a member of Falling River Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Elton James Roach (Melanie) of Phenix; two grandsons, Edward Roach (fiancée Lexi), Tommy Lee Roach all of Phenix; four brothers, Timmy Wright (Brenda) of Naruna, Jerry Wright (Debra), Teddy Wright (Crystal) all of Brookneal, and Ray Wright (Rita) of Gladys; three sisters, Ailene Wright Davis, Jean Wright Nichols both of Brookneal, and Joan Wright Stanley of Halifax. She was preceded by in death by a son, William Henry Roach, Jr.; three brothers, Riley, Dean, and Bobby Wright. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Falling River Baptist Church by the Rev. Brian Hart.
