Jerry Thomas “Tommy” Rudd, Sr., 56, of Nathalie passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at Duke University Hospital. Jerry was born in Halifax County, August 20, 1964, son of the late Charlie William Rudd and Barbara Francis Rudd. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and was an installer with Jones Insulation. He is survived by a son, Jerry “TJ” Rudd (Jessica) of Henderson, N.C.; two daughters, Tabitha Rudd of Nathalie, Summer Rudd of Halifax; a sister, Cheryl R. Johnson of Nathalie; five grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Grove, Kyleigh Forest, Selena and Nevaeh Rudd; a niece Cheyanne Johnson; a nephew, Zachary Johnson. He was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Judy Crews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bobby Mann with interment to follow in the Rudd Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
