Julian Reid Hamlet, 58, of Phenix passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. Reid was born in Charlotte County, August 27, 1962, the son of Hilton Reid Hamlet of Phenix and the late Mary Ellen Bailey Hamlet. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church and a farmer. In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother, Elaine Hamlet; stepsister, Melinda Lockhart (Keith); niece, Jessica Lockhart; nephew, Dr. Jonathan Lockhart. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Elwood Hamlet. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Midway Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. Chris Kesler and Pastor Mike Teixeira. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal.
