June Adams, 73 , of Brookneal, passed away at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was the wife of Richard Thomas Adams, Jr. Mrs. Adams was born in Charlotte, N.C. on May 18, 1949, a daughter of the late Edmond J. Yelton and the late Annette McMahan Yelton. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Adams retired as a manager at E. R. Squibb & Sons Pharmaceutical. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Virginia Scott Adams King (Andrew) of Raleigh, N.C.; sister Kim Brock (Lloyd) of Illinois; two nieces and one nephew. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation.
