“Marc” Conner passed on to his heavenly home Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the age of 54 years old. He was a graduate of Halifax County High School and Catawba College with a B.T.A. in theater. Mark lived in Richmond after college and moved back to his hometown in 2014. Mark was a kind and gentle soul. He loved helping people, which made him so great at his job as a server. He also helped his mother care for his grandmother for the past several years until his health failed him. Mark loved theater, musicals, Halloween and reading. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Skip Conner; his grandparents, Harold and Ann Conner and Joe Fisher. He is survived by his mother, Diane Conner Weatherford and stepfather, William Weatherford; sister, Ann Marie Jones (Keith), niece, Emily; nephew, Andrew; stepbrother, Tim Weatherford; his grandmother, Justyne Fisher and his beloved cats, Eerie, Airy and Fairy. He will be missed by many. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with pastor Ken Moen officiating.
