Mary Evelyn Guill Vaughan, 85, of Brookneal passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Shirley Edward Vaughan. Mrs. Vaughan was born in Charlotte County, November 3, 1937, daughter of the late Sam Guill and Sula Tuck Guill. She is survived by two sons, Donny Vaughan (Diane) of Gladys, David Vaughan (Debbie) of Brookneal; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Sam Guill, Jr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debby Vaughan, and a son, Danny Wayne Vaughan. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Stanfield with interment to follow in Wickliffe Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal.
