Stanley Calvin Francis, 72, of Nathalie passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at home. Stanley was born in South Boston, November 5, 1951, a son of the late John Thomas Francis and Ella Mae Pierce Francis. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a self-employed painter. He is survived by four children, Stanley Francis, Jr., Jamie Francis, Leslie Jackson, and Quincy Francis; eight grandchildren, Hanna Francis Williams, Jacob Lambert, Joseph and Savannah Watkins, Serenity, Lydia, Thomas “T. J.” Jackson, and Katherine Francis; two great-grandchildren, Lehlani and Arabella Williams; two brothers, David and Howard Francis; four sisters, Vernelle Ford, Rose Ann Butler, Donna Marie Owen, and Faye Elder; He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Francis; four brothers, Paul, Glen, Vanda and Billy Francis; and Kathy Francis his former spouse. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Halifax Memorial Gardens, South Boston. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Memorial contributions may be made to Henderson Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
