Wanda Kay Floyd, 72, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 16, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Her Funeral Service will be held Graveside, at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Phenix, Virginia. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Wanda was born July 25, 1950, in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of the late John Homer Floyd and the late Edith Wirt Floyd. She was an avid ballroom dancer and will be remembered as a loving, kind, graceful and strong person. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend with quick wit whose sense of humor brought light to everyone around her. She is survived by partner, Barry Lee Weissglass; her sons, Kirk Engler and John Engler (Sarah); her grandchildren, Carter, Vivien, Isabel and Emily.
