Gloria Mays Tuggle

Gloria Mays Tuggle, 77, of Rustburg passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Tuggle.

Mrs. Tuggle was born in Bedford County, July 13, 1944, daughter of the late Walter Carrington Mays and Thelma Ayers Mays. She attended Clearview Baptist Church and was a cook for Country Kitchen Restaurant.

She is survived by one son, David Mays (Roberta) of Lynchburg; two step-grandchildren, Chris Shade (Donna), Beth Jenkins (Brian); five step great-grandchildren, two step great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Mays Rice (Joseph) of Rustburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter “Jimmy” Mays.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Republican Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
