Sadie Tibbs Martin

Sadie Tibbs Martin, 86, of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at home. She was the wife first to the late William Jennings, second to the late Jimmy Brown Brightwell, and third to the late James Martin.

Mrs. Martin was born in Campbell County, January 20, 1935, daughter of the late Mann Tibbs and Lucy Woodall Tibbs. She was a retired Door Greeter for Walmart.

She is survived by a son, Phillip W. Brightwell of Appomattox; a daughter, Patricia Campbell (Tony) of Washington D.C.; grandchildren, Joseph Mann, Brandon and Amanda Jennings, Stacy Bell, Kim Simmons, Flallon and Meghan Jennings, Jimmy Brightwell, Jessica and Jody Cilingpeel; a sister, Joan Davis; a brother, Frank Tibbs; seven great-grandchildren; and her beloved body guard, Miss CoCo. She was preceded in death by three children, Larry Woodall, William and Danny Jennings; two grandchildren, Nena and Joshua Mann; and a sister, Doris Crews.
