Luther Winston Newton

Luther Winston Newton, 84, of Brookneal passed away peacefully at home Monday, October 17, 2022. He was the husband of Carole Davis Newton.
Winston was born in Mecklenburg County on November 5, 1937, a son of the late Bernard Newton and the late Betty Strum Newton. He was of the Methodist faith and retired from Consolidated Shoe Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by, two daughters Dede Hudson (Steve) of Amherst, Ellen Page Hanna (John) of Brookneal, a son Steven Newton of Arlington and four grandsons Joshua and Caleb Hudson, Hunter and Spenser Hanna. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Bookman.
