Jerry Thomas “T. J.” Rudd, Jr. of Nathalie, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.
T. J. was born in Halifax County on January 1, 1990, son of the late Jerry Thomas Rudd, Sr. and Christine Dawn Saunders Rudd . He was of the Baptist faith and was an employee of Tar Star Paving.
He is survived by a daughter Nevaeh Rudd of Henderson, N.C.; a son Trenton Rudd of Nathalie; a brother Jonathan Stevens (Amanda) of Richmond; two sisters Tabitha Rudd of Nathalie and Summer Davis (Demetric) of Halifax; niece Kyleigh Forest of Nathalie and nephews Matthew & Jacob Grove of Nathalie. T. J. was preceded in death by his mother Judy Crews.
A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Andrew Reisberg on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at the Rudd Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Chapel. The family will receive friends at the home of Cheyenne Johnson.
