Mary Walthall Smith, 102, of Gladys passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 in Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Berton D. Smith of Nebraska, for 38 years.
Mary was the daughter of the late Willie Newton Walthall and the late Annie Woodall Walthall. She was a Charter member of the Warrenton Seventh Day Adventist Church and was retired from many occupations, but most recently as a well-known seamstress in Gladys.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Naruna on August 11, 2023.
The family would like to thank the staff at Forest Health and Rehab in Lynchburg for their love and kindness during her stay there.
