Margie Clay Seamster, 76, of Chatham, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at Forest Health & Rehab. She was the wife of Jimmy Seamster.
Margie was born in Cody, VA on May 21, 1947, a daughter of the late Swanson Clay and the late Madeline Waller Clay. She was a member of the Gretna Church of God of Prophecy Church and worked at Basset Walker and at VA Training School in Lynchburg as a CNA.
Margie is survived by two sons, Robert Jackson (Tammy) of Tennessee and David Jackson (Brinda) of Brookneal; stepson, J. W. Seamster (Michelle) of Brookneal and grandchildren, Mathew and Timmy Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a sister Vernell Davis and two brothers, Herbert Clay and Jr. Clay.
A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Dean Anderson on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Chapel.
