Lloyd Thomas Williams, 94, of Gladys, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Born on April 18, 1931, Lloyd was the son of the late Lawrence H. and Mildred Sowell Williams. A proud veteran, he served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Lloyd will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind spirit, and deep devotion to his family. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and farmer who loved the land and the outdoors. His life was marked by hard work, integrity, and a deep connection to nature. He is survived by his brother, L.H. Williams, Jr.; his brother-in-law, Warren Wyman; and a host of loving nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses: Norma Jean and William Claybrook, Dale and Pete Britton, Johnny and Ferna Williams, Cynthia Wyman and Barbara Williams. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Naruna, conducted by Rev. Jamie Adams and Rev. Johnny Roberts. American Legion will provide military honors graveside. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who lived humbly and served faithfully. |
