James "Butch" Randolph Bailey, Jr.

James Randolph Bailey, Jr., “Butch”, 74, of Brookneal, passed away at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
Born in Lynchburg on June 24, 1951, Butch was the son of the late James Randolph Bailey, Sr. and the late Ruth Morgan Bailey. He was a member of Brookneal Baptist Church and retired as a quality control manager from Rivers Edge Furniture Company.
Butch is survived by his sister Joan Bailey Phelps of Gladys; niece, Amanda Phelps Porter (Charles) of Rocky Mount, N.C. and nephew, Stephen Michael Phelps, Jr.
