Calvin D. Stinnett, 67, of Lynchburg passed away February 14, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Janet Tuck Stinnett. Mr. Stinnett was born in Lynchburg, February 1, 1955, son of the late Clinton Stinnett and the late Gracie Stinnett. He attended Clifford Baptist Church. Calvin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid race and sports fan, known as the Monte Carlo Man. He loved his cowboy hats, boots and could fix anything. He is survived by two daughters, Brandi Stinnett (Rusty Toler) of Gladys; Kristen Stinnett (Carlos Hall) of Forest; four grandchildren, McKenna Brandt, Taya Hall, Nova Hall and Braelyn Toler. Two brothers Hal Stinnett (Ann) and Roger Stinnett (Barbara Jean). Two sisters in law, Delores Stinnett and Pat Stinnett, all of Amherst. A special thanks to Dr. Joseph Khoury and Dr. Cecilia MacCallum and the fourth-floor east staff at Lynchburg General for their care. Preceded in death by two brothers Carson Stinnett, Beverly Stinnett and two sisters Judy S. Davis (Terry) and Edith S. Watts (Clyde) A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Childrey Baptist Church by Reverend Jerry Stanfield and Reverend Mike Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends at home other times. Memorial contributions may be made to Rustburg Rescue Squad and the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center. |
