David Carl Childress, Jr.

David Carl Childress, Jr., 69, of Phenix passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at home. He was the husband of Margaret Prentice Childress.
Mr. Childress was born in Richmond, December 31, 1953, son of the late David Carl Childress, Sr. and Dorothy Dyal Childress. He attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Drakes Branch and was retired from Winn Dixie.
In addition to his wife, he survived by five sons, two daughters, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, three sisters, a brother, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Drakes Branch.
