James Edward Childrey, 52, of Gladys passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. He was the husband of the late Cindy Marie Keep Childrey.
James was born March 19, 1970 in South Boston, the son of the late James Monroe Childrey and Barbara Jean Hancock Ivey. He was of the Baptist faith. James worked in construction.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by stepfather Donald B. Ivey and stepbrothers Michael W. Ivey (Jill), David L. Ivey (Michele) and Stephen L. Ivey.
