James Dean Claybrook, 62, of Boydton, VA. passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at VCU Medical Center.
Dean was born in Lynchburg on April 1, 1961, a son of the late William R. Claybrook and the late Norma Jean Williams Claybrook. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a former employee of Jones Apparel Group in South Hill.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Claybrook (Emily) of Maryland and James Claybrook of Lynchburg; grandchildren Carter and Charlotte Claybrook; and sister Laurie Francis (Charlie) of Gladys.
A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Johnny Roberts at Ebenezer Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
