Audrey Jean Adams Joy, 90, of Brookneal passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Warren P. Joy. Mrs. Joy was born in Maybuery, West Virginia January 6, 1926 daughter of the late Amos S. Adams and Dracilla Keatts Adams. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Centra Hospice, Privett Home and Gussie Wade, her in home caregiver, for their many acts of kindness. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Joy Tribble (Wayne) of Forest; two grandchildren, Paula Floyd (Troy) of Waxhaw, N.C., and Renee Craven (Tom) of Forest; four great-grandchildren, Haley Adams Floyd, Anna McKenzie Craven, Emily Keatts Floyd, and Clarice Lovelace Craven. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at Union Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Reggie Warren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
