Barbara Othelia Moon, 81, of Gladys, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Barbara was born in Pittsylvania County on March 10, 1943, a daughter of the late Warren Floyd Moon, Sr. and the late Ruby DeJarnette Moon. She was retired from Dan River Mills and she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Bobbi McKinney (Mark) of Gladys; grandchildren, Brandon James McKinney (Tessa), Shane Robert McKinney, and Asa Anthony McKinney; great-grandson, Myles Gray McKinney; a sister, Ruby Agnes Vance of Rustburg; and a brother, Harold Edwin Moon of Rustburg. She was preceded in death by two sons, Barry Wade and Kevin Wade and two brothers, Warren Floyd Moon, Jr. and Victor Randall Moon. A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Johnny Roberts at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2024, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal is assisting the family.
