Obituaries

Bernon Wooden DeJarnette, 65, of Nathalie passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. DeJarnette was born in South Boston, September 17, 1952 a son of the late Bernon Hunter DeJarnette and Lavinia Epperson DeJarnette. He was a member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam Era. He is survived by a cousin and caretaker, Vickie DeJarnette Barker of Nathalie; cousins Scott Hill and Mary Pascale; and other family members. A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Clover Bottom Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnny Roberts with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
