Carol Sue Miller Wood, 74, of Brookneal, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, September 8, 2025. She was the wife of Steven Bryan Wood. Carol was born in Coldwater, Michigan on December 29, 1950, the daughter of the late James Leroy Miller and the late Maxine Callahan Miller. She retired, as owner/operator, from Scott Monument Service. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by a daughter, Carol Marie Hansen of Brookneal and a son, William Allen Scott (MaCenda) of Tennessee; grandchildren, William Christopher Scott, Katelyn Nicole Hansen, J.C. Scott and Kristina Kelso. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Beebe and Inez Brimmer and two brothers, James Miller and Ernie Miller. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Cana Church, 6074 Bill Tuck Hwy., South Boston. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Brookneal is assisting the family.
