Carroll Hester Pollard, 86, of Phenix passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was the husband of Edith Foster Pollard. Mr. Pollard was born in Charlotte County in 1932, son of the late Roger Pollard and Mary Smith Pollard. He is a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church and a retired warehouse manager for Southern States Cooperative. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons; Roger Carroll Pollard of Richmond, Sandy Hoyt Pollard of Charlotte County, Leo Bruce Pollard (Jill Gooch) of Randolph, Thomas Alan Pollard (Grace) of Hanover County, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, William “Billy” Pollard (Pat) of Raleigh, N.C. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., in Mt. Carmel Methodist Church cemetery, Brookneal, by the Rev. Mike Teixeira. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home, Brookneal, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
