Charles Robert Hagen, 88, of Gladys passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Mary B. Hagen. Mr. Hagen was born in North Dakota, March 19, 1930, son of the late Ole C. Hagen and Alice Rugbey Hagen. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Air Force, and his hobbies included fishing and gardening. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter, Mary Darlene Bain (Gary) of Sutherlin; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son, Gary Nadeu; two step-daughters, Betty Rankin, Deloris Saint John; one brother, Herman Hagen; two sisters, Coral Hagan, Olive Hagen. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Edge Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Emory, Rev. Jerry Jordan, and Evangelist Jim Rankin with interment to follow in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal and at the residence other times.
