Debbie Epperson Dawson, 57, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Duke University Hospital. She was the wife of C. W. Dawson Jr. Debbie was born in South Boston, March 4, 1957 daughter of Cephas Reed Epperson and Audrey Moorefield Epperson. She was a member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church and a retired employee of Halifax County Schools. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Traci D. McKinney (Jeremiah) of Nathalie; three grandchildren, Ethan McKinney, Allie McKinney and Bryar Reed McKinney all of Nathalie. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Clover Bottom Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe Lively and the Rev. Robert Simmons with interment to follow in the Dawson Family Cemetery, Nathalie. The family will receive friends at the residence of Traci and Jeremiah McKinney, Tobacco Rd., Nathalie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Halifax County Humane Society, 1040 Farm Rd., South Boston, VA 24592. Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal is assisting the family.
