Donnie Ray Guthrie, 65, of Nathalie passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Glenda Lipscomb Guthrie. Donnie was born in Lynchburg, January 14, 1952 son of the late Lonie Waller Guthrie and Shirley Booker Guthrie. He was a member of Falling River Baptist Church and an engineer for ADD Equipment Co. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Morton (Steve); and one granddaughter, Kaitlin Phillips all of Greensboro, N.C. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Guthrie. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Falling River Baptist Church by the Rev. Keith Williams with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and following the funeral service in the church fellowship hall.
