Doris “Dot” Jenkins Davis, 85, of State Shed Road, Nathalie passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at The Woodview in South Boston. She was the wife of the late Monroe Lacy Davis. Mrs. Davis was born in Alabama, April 10, 1929 daughter of the late Leslie Jenkins and Edna New Jenkins. She was a member of Childrey Baptist Church. She is survived by one grandson, Robert M. Davis of Raleigh, N. C.; one brother, Haskel Jenkins (Myria) of Southside, Ala; one sister-in-law, Kathlene Anderson of Rougemont, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, O. Monroe Davis; two sisters, Gwen Craig and Jo Thurston. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Childrey Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Jerry Stanfield and the Rev. Randy Holmes. Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal is assisting the family.
