Obituaries

Dorothy Sublett Carwile, 92, of Brookneal passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at home. She was the wife of the late Carroll Newton Carwile. Mrs. Carwile was born in Campbell County, March 2, 1926, daughter to the late Frank Wesley Sublett and Lelia Jordan Sublett. She was a member of Hat Creek Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons, Tilson Carwile (Lorene), Jason Carwile (Melissa) all of Brookneal; four grandchildren, Daniel F. Carwile (Taylor), C. W. Carwile, Eric P. Carwile, all of Brookneal, Shannon E. Moon (Matt) of Appomattox; three great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Scarlett Moon, Robert Thomas Carwile; caregivers, Brenda Shrewsberry and Shirley Stevens. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hat Creek Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Keith Williams, inside the church.
