Elizabeth Carolyn Hailey Moses, 67, of Rustburg passed away Saturday, Jul 24, 2021 at home. She was the wife of Herbert H. Moses III. Carolyn was born in Halifax County, March 15, 1954, daughter of the late Charlie Edward Hailey Sr. and Mildred Clay Hailey. She was a member of New Chapel Baptist Church and a former CNA at Central Virginia Training School. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Laura Hall (Matt), Jennifer Moses (Larry Clay) all of Rustburg; three grandchildren, Dagan and Megan Hall and Hailey Moses; a brother, Charles Hailey Jr. (Phyllis) of Nathalie; a nephew, Stacy Hailey. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021 at New Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Jerry Stanfield and the Rev. Timothy Dooley with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal and at the residence other times. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
