James Lawson Hill, 70, of Nathalie passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the beloved son of Audrey V. Hill of Nathalie and the late Lawson Hill. Mr. Hill was born in Halifax County, June 23, 1947. He was a retired employee of the Lane Company, an avid reader, baseball fan of the New York Yankees and a very knowledgable person. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers, Larry Hill (Rosalie) of Nathalie, Michael Hill of Forest, Phillip Hill (Shirley) of Hurt; two sisters, Dianne Stables (Tom) of Houston, TX, Kathryn H. Willetts of Canton, N.C.; special nephew, Jeremy Hill (Cassie) of Nathalie; special niece, Shanon Hamlette (Gerald) of Nathalie; other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Hanks followed by a private interment at the Hill Family Cemetery.
