James Tarasevitsch, 71, of Brookneal passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at home. He was the husband of Galina Kartasheff Tarasevitsch. Mr. Tarasevitsch was born in Ulm, Germany, June 18, 1945, son of the late Nickolai Tarasevitsch and the late Anna Sozonova Tarasevitsch. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired Police Officer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ian, James, Jr., and Michael Tarasevitsch; one daughter, Nina Dunn. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
