Kenneth Ray Noblin, 87, of Phenix passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years Carrie Harris Noblin. Mr. Noblin was born in Triangle, Va., May 11, 1928 one of twelve children of the late Isaac Richard Noblin and Daisy Seckman Noblin. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, and along with his brother Richard, owned and operated Noblin Brothers Contractors. He is survived by one brother, Lyle Noblin; three sisters, Vivian Smith, Rita Angel, and Patricia Ann Souhrada; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Randolph, Donald, Isaac and Vernon Noblin; three sisters, Pauline Kegley, Louise Shafer and Alrievine Cody. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Garry Sims with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the church.
