Margie Clay Seamster, 76, of Chatham, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at Forest Health & Rehab. She was the wife of Jimmy Seamster. Margie was born in Cody, VA on May 21, 1947, a daughter of the late Swanson Clay and the late Madeline Waller Clay. She was a member of the Gretna Church of God of Prophecy Church and worked at Basset Walker and at VA Training School in Lynchburg as a CNA. Margie is survived by two sons, Robert Jackson (Tammy) of Tennessee and David Jackson (Brinda) of Brookneal; stepson, J. W. Seamster (Michelle) of Brookneal and grandchildren, Mathew and Timmy Jackson. She was preceded in death by a sister Vernell Davis and two brothers, Herbert Clay and Jr. Clay. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Dean Anderson on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Chapel. Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal is assisting the family.
