Martha Raye Anderson Guthrie, 69, passed away March 23, 2017 at her son’s home in Nathalie. Martha was born in Halifax County, February 29, 1948 daughter of the late Hubert Junior Anderson and Margaret Fisher Anderson Davis. She is survived by a son, Marvin Keith Guthrie; a grandson, Brandon Keith Guthrie (Emily) all of Nathalie; one brother, James “Red” Anderson (Dale) of Clover; one sister, Linda Scott (Roy) of Nathalie; a special uncle, Charles Fisher (Betty) of Volens; a special aunt, Frances Glass of Crystal Hill; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Anderson. The family would like to thank two special ladies, Vickie Crews and Doris Sydnor, for taking care of her when she was in South Boston and Angel Wings Home Care CNA, Adrian Coleman, for all she did for her and the care she gave her. The Sentara Hospice who provided wonderful care and support. The family will receive friends at the home of her son, M. Keith Guthrie on Volens Rd., Nathalie.
