Norma Lee Martin Hailey, 92, of Nathalie, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 29, 2025. She was the wife of Clarence T. “Punch” Hailey for 72 years. Norma was born in Newport News, VA on July 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Frank Martin and the late Beatrice Hogge Martin. She was a member of Childrey Baptist Church. Norma was a wonderful homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Norma was a loving person who enjoyed hummingbirds, flowers, Elvis music, crossword puzzles and loved her grandchildren. Norma is survived by a son, Robin Dale Hailey of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Angela S. Hailey of Nathalie; two grandsons, Jonathan P. Anderson and Storm Anderson; two brothers, William Martin of Nathalie and Bobby Martin of Williamsburg; four sisters, Patsy Foretich, Judy Colgan, Violet Crockett, all of Newport News and Dixie Taylor of North Carolina. A Memorial Service will be conducted by Rev. Jerry Stanfield at Childrey Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at other times at the home. The family would like to thank Sentara Hospice, the Childrey Baptist Church family and the many other friends and families who have shown so much love to the family.
