Obituaries

Odell Mitchell Reynolds, 93, of Gladys passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Lynchburg Health and Rehab.  She was the wife of the late Russell Reynolds. Mrs. Reynolds was born in Campbell County, June 21, 1921 daughter of the late Emette Hatley Mitchell and Nellie Dudley Mitchell.  She was a member of Gladys Wesleyan Church and a retired supervisor for Sheltered Industries. She is survived by one son, Roy H. Reynolds (Sharon); one daughter, Dianne R. Carr (Newell Butts); two grandchildren, Justin Reynolds (Becky), Kelly Neal (Benjamin) all of Gladys; four great-grandchildren, Savanah, James and River Neal, Atley Reynolds.  She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Carr. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 pm Friday, December 19, 2014 in Gladys Wesleyan/Episcopal Church Cemetery by the Rev. Ava Mitchell. Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal is assisting the family.
