Ronda and i were truly grieved to learn of Ryland's death. As a result of our chance meetings at Virginia Cancer Center, we knew that he had been ailing. I have many good memories of working together with him on the YMCA Cabinet and Advisory Board, when we were both students at VPI. May the Lord ease your grief as he welcomes Ryland home.

I truly admired the way Ryland was always out in the community doing good. I really appreciated that. I knew him as a retired military man and as a fraternal brother. Most of the time when I saw him Pencye and Lynette were with him. Along with his two sons, they are a very fine family. I will miss Ryland a lot. T. W King, Major, USAF (Ret.), Past State Secretary, Virginia Division, Travelers Protective Association of America

To the family of Ryland Y. Bailey Sr., My family offers our deepest condolences for the loss of your dear one. We too have experienced such a loss very recently and greatly sympathize with you at this time. We were comforted by a shared thought from the Bible at Revelation 21:3&4. Hopefully you find the encouraging message comforting as well. With regards and condolences, C. Dalton

Worked with Mr Bailey at the SCC from 1969-1974. He was one of the nicest men I worked with. He's the last of the men that were there. He was a true gentleman. I loved hearing his stories. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

God speed dear friend. A true Southern Gentleman and a wonderful man. I will truly miss Ryland and his kindness toward me and my family. He was loved by those that were fortunate to have him as their friend.

I will miss his smiling face and his wonderful hugs. His patriotism and love of country will shine on. May the peace of our Lord surround all his family and friends.
