Susan Wood Bomar, 70, of Nathalie passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at home. She was the wife of the late Howard Wayne Bomar. Susan was born in Halifax County, August 27, 1954, daughter of the late Harvey Wood and Ann King Wood. She was a member of True Light Baptist Church and a retired LPN and Xray Tech. She is survived by a son, Justin Wayne Bomar (Dana) of Nathalie; grandchildren Kaylee and Chase Bomar; a sister, Patty Carr (Andy) of Halifax; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Colby Bomar. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Greg Thomas with interment to follow in the Childrey Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel and at the home of Justin and Dana other times. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brookneal Volunteer Fire Department or True Light Baptist Church in Cluster Springs in memory of Susan.
