Obituaries

Christopher Daniel Fisher, 43, of Madison Heights was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Central Virginia Training Center. Christopher was born in Lynchburg, March 8, 1971 the son of Herbert Gayle Mason King (Ryland) and Charles Daniel Fisher (Rita) all of Nathalie.  He was a member of Staunton River Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Angela Gayle Fisher Holt (Charles) of Rustburg; one brother Kevin M. Fisher of Pleasant, MI; a nephew, Charles Ray Holt, Jr. of Rustburg; a niece, Ashley Nicole Holt of Johnson City, TN; aunts and uncles, Joan Grey Mason Lipscomb, Norma Sue Smith, Bennie and Ann Waller, Samuel and Pat Fisher and Edna Weador.   He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert H. and Josephine Pollard Mason, his paternal grandmother, Janie Bradley Fisher, paternal grandfather, Charlie C. Fisher, and his Beloved Papa, Charlie M. Holt and “Mama Julia” Bradley Holt, his uncle, Donald L. Fisher. The family would like to say a Huge Thank You to the Doctors and Staff of Central Virginia Training Center for their loving and diligent care of Christopher for the past 36 years.  Your kindness will never be forgotten. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brian Reynolds and Mr. Matthew Killmon with interment to follow in Staunton River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Herbert Gayle and Ryland King. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
