Doris Anne Martin Tribble, 84, of Nathalie, passed away at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital on Monday, August 17, 2026. She was the wife of the late George Burnette Tribble. Doris was born in Halifax County on January 13, 1942, the daughter of the late John Maynard Martin and the late Doris Morrison Martin. She was a member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and served in NHVFD Ladies Auxiliary and was part of the Quilting Ladies. Doris is survived by sons, George Wayne Tribble (Angela) of Nathalie and Keith Burnette Tribble (Donna) of Social Circle, GA; grandchildren, Bradley Keith Tribble (Abby) of Brookneal, Paige Tribble Popek (Morgan) of Halifax, and Emily Tribble Hancock (Cory) of Nathalie; step-grandchildren, Rebecca Dooley (Bryar), Joseph Sperberg and friend Madison; great grandchildren, Hazel Rose Tribble, Walter Burnette Tribble, Ridge Olan Hancock, Amelia Reese Popek, and Ryan Allen Hancock; step-great grandchild, Mason Sperberg and brother, Otey Martin (Amy). She is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Todd Tribble; grandson, Ryan Wayne Tribble and brother, Louis M. Martin. A funeral will be conducted by Rev. Phillip Wright at Clover Bottom Baptist Church on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. with interment at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at her son Wayne Tribble’s home other times. Memorial contributions may be made to Clover Bottom Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or NHVFD Ladies Auxiliary.
