Edna Throckmorton Sequist, 48, of Gladys passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at her home. She was the wife of Corey Sequist. Edna was born in South Boston on November 3, 1974, a daughter of Dorothy Eggleston Throckmorton of South Boston and the late Bernard Milton Throckmorton. Edna worked at EZ Mini Mart. She is survived by a daughter, Chelsey Throckmorton (Jonathon Francis) of Nathalie; a stepson Brent Throckmorton of Charlotte County; a granddaughter, Peyton Francis; a brother Bo Throckmorton (Casey) of Cluster Springs; a sister Linda “Wendy” Eggleston of South Boston; a niece Samantha Conner (Kevin) of Nathalie and a nephew Nicholas Throckmorton of South Boston. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Andrew Reisberg on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Wickliffe Cemetery in Brookneal. The family will receive friends at Henderson Funeral Home, Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity or to the American Diabetes Foundation.
