Evelyn Poindexter Fisher, 93, of Nathalie, passed away at Summit Assisted Living in Lynchburg on Friday, September 27, 2024. Evelyn was born in Campbell County on May 27, 1931, a daughter of the late James Thomas Poindexter and the late Ura Tweedy Poindexter. She was retired from Courtland Manufacturing, and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove. Evelyn is survived by her son, Bobby C. Fisher (Lisa) of Nathalie and her daughter, Connie F. Blanks (Richard) of Lynch Station; grandchildren, Thomas Blanks, Priscilla Rohrer (Allen), and Marilyn Fisher (Shawn); great-granddaughter, Kayla Blanks; and a sister, Sterling Tuck. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Blanks Nichols and two brothers James Poindexter and Floyd Poindexter. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Shelton Miles and Rev. Zak Ford at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
