Hester Dodd Martin, Jr.,76, of Rustburg, passed away at Tate Springs Health & Rehab in Lynchburg on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. He was the husband of Margie Jennings Martin. Born in Amherst County on March 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Hester Dodd Martin and the late Nancy Madeline Mays Martin. He retired from Fallen Trucking. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Rachel Trent (Dale) of Brookneal, and Angela Stone (Caleb) of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Lazarus, Iris, Lily Ruth, Isaiah, and Juniper Noor.
